nothings gonna change my world
words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup,
they slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe
pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my open mind,
possessing and caressing me.
jai guru de va om
nothing's gonna change my world,
images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes,
that call me on and on across the universe,
thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box they
tumble blindly as they make their way
across the universe
jai guru de va om
nothing's gonna change my world,
sounds of laughter shades of earth are ringing
through my open ears inciting and inviting me
limitless undying love which shines around me like a
million suns, it calls me on and on
across the universe
jai guru de va om
nothing's gonna change my world,
jai guru de va, jai guru de va

the place, I always feel relaxed, is hamam..
maybe you have heard before maybe not. if you didn't hear, be sure, you should know that "what the meaning of hamam" is.
I was born in eskişehir which is in the middle of turkey. eskişehir has different kinds of hamams. even there is a one street called "hamam street". water which boils under the ground, is pure and health-giving. some people who haven't experience about hamam, can think that hamam is just a bath. I have to say that they are completely wrong. hamam is a ritual.
when you go to hamam one day in istanbul(or another cities in turkey), firstly be sure that you have enough time for that. you don't have to carry somethings about bath(towel, shampoo..etc). the staff who is working in hamam, gives things what do you need. generally, all hamams have some kind of marble platform which is in the middle of hamam. the platform is hot and smooth. lie to there..enjoy that for a while..of course after twenty minutes you will become sweat.don't to care because it's good thing for your skin. in this way, your skin will be purified from toxins. and then if you want you can do peeling on your skin with some special cloth. and then you will need to get rest. I should remind you, drink water during that time. You know, your body will be loosing water during the time.
and then to jump to swimming pool which has hot natural spring water :) don't move too much in the pool because it can be dangereous as I said the water is hot. after maximum ten minutes staying in the pool, if you are brave, you can jump to an other swimming pool which has cold(really cold) water :) this is so healty for your blood circulation. of course just stay in ten second.
and now if you want you can take a simple shower. after all of these, probably the best of part is; drinking herbal tea with lemon in your bathrobe while you are lying on day bed..
so what do you think. it sounds good? try it ;)
children's day in turkey
we have celebrated "children's day" in turkey since 1927. m.kemal atatürk who is the most important leader of turkey, proclaimed that day is "children's day" to the children of turkey and the world.
every year, children who are from lots of different countries, come to turkey, especially istanbul and ankara that it's capital city. there are many events such as big stadium shows. some turkish families put some children up. for example; one child who is from italy, can be guest to one turkish family's house. the child lives there during the fest. in this way, the children can find to chance for company with each other. also they can learn different cultures from the other's countries.
that day, activities start from morning. all children wear the cultural costumes from their countries. so, you can't imagine that "what a beatiful and colorful view" is there. all of them are in happiness and cheerful. when I was child, I joined to some activities of the fest. I still remember that how much of a magical it was. when people were a child, they look at the world with different way. everything is simple and easy and charming in childhood :) so you can guess, if you were a child and took part of children's day that you would be the happiest child of the world :) I don't remember now but probably I felt myself like "alice in wonderland".
if I'm not wrong, the celebraiton which celebrated in turkey, is only international organization all around the world

.....
hughie erskine, who was a charming and attractive young man, was unfortunately not very successful in business and therefore did not have much money. he was in love with a beautiful girl called laura merton that her father had demanded £10,000 to allow them to marry. one day hughie went to visit his friend alan trevor, he was an artist. trevor was just putting the finishing touches to a portrait of a beggar. the beggar, he was wearing torn, shabby old clothes and holding out his hat for money, looked sad and tired. "poor old man", thought hughie, "he looks so miserable", and gave the man a pound which it was all the money he had. the beggar smiled and said, "thank you, sir, thank you". hughie spent the rest of the day with laura, she was annoyed because he had given away his last pound and he had to walk home because he had no money for a bus. the next day he went to a bar where he met alan trevor there. trevor told him that the "beggar" was in reality baron hausberg who his financial skills had made him a millionaire. hughie felt deeply embarrassed about giving him the pound. the following day he received an envelope from the baron, it had a cheque for £10,000 inside it. the message on the envelope said: "a wedding present to hughie and laura from an old beggar".
it's one my favourite of oscar wilde's aphorisms;
"there are many things that we would throw away if we were not afraid that others might pick them up"

ramadan fest in turkey
The people who is believe to the Islamic religion, celebrate Ramadan every year at same time. I'm one of them. We use the Muslim calendar for set to first day of ramadan. That calendar is different. For example; this year if the first day is today, next year the first day will be after 10 days than last year, according to international calendar. Ramadan start at nineth month of the year according to Muslim calendar.
That month we don't eat anything. this attitude's name is "to fast" in english.Of course there are some religious rules. We wake up before sunrise. We eat especially strong but healthy food, dairyproducts, rice, pasta, egg, cheese or something like that. And then we abstain from eating to sunset. So we don't eat anything between sunrise and sunset. But I have to allow that nowadays a lot of muslim don't fast.Maybe it's normal because of life.Almost every adult person hardwork a long time everyday and you know business life is really tiring and full of stress.I hope that the God thinks like that :)
That month includes some special days. We call the one of them "Kadir Gecesi" .I'm sorry but this word has not translated word from english. It's completely special day for us. Because in the past, the first verse of the Kuran came to our prophet Muhammed from God at that day. The Muslim people pray for everything almost everyday in ramadan.
Finally, end of the month, we celebrate Ramadan Bayram. We wake up earyl in the morning. Men go to mosque for namaz(some kind of worship for muslims). And women and children prepare big, nice, delicious breakfast! Usually men visit to cemetary when they return from mosque. Then all family have a breakfast together. This time always in peaceful and full of happiness. After that especially young people visit to old relatives or the people who are stay in hospital or nursing home. Children knock to neighbour's doors and wish best things and the neighbours give candies, coins, chocolate or some little presents to them. Thence sometimes we call this month "candy fest" :)
nightmare journey
I think, it was 1 year ago. I was going to the city where my parents lived. We are living in different cities so I go there once a month. And as to be expected, I've had a lot of experience with journeys!
Usually, I go alone and mostly I prefer to sleep during the journey. Sometimes I read a book or I listen to music, but that time, i could'nt do even one of them. No sleeping, no reading, no music! It was awful. There was a child. I think he was 5 years old. He was sitting behind me with his mother and he was always moving in his seat. At the beginning, I didn't mind, I just tried to focus on other things but it was impossible. Because he was starting to touch my hair/head. Also he was eating candy and his hands were sticky and dirty. It was a really uncomfortable situation. Of course, I said something to him many times. For example "please honey, don't touch my head, your hand is dirty,Say to mum and clean-up your hands!" I was saying this with a loud voice because I wanted his mother to hear! Of course, she heard me but she didn't do anything. Just she was speaking her child with sooooo soft voice! I was getting crazy but I had no choice. I was on the bus and on the way! After that, he was starting to cry in a horrible sound! The assistant driver came there and he asked the woman "what's wrong with your child lady?" and she was quite angry! and she answered "Nothing, why? he is just a child. You must be patient!" and then the assistant said that "no lady, you're his mother and only you, must be patient, not us. Now, please try to calm your child. You and your son are disturbing the other passengers" After that, unfortunately nothing changed, he continued to cry and make noise.
The journey takes six hours. So you can imagine, how much of a disaster it was! It was like torture. Finally I arrived home. I went back after three days and that time, I couldn't know, there was a big surprise for me! I got on the bus and guess what?!? Yes! She and her son were on the bus!! Same day, same time and same bus! I know it's unbelievable but it's true. At least this time they were not sitting behind me. Thank God :) I could come back home in peace. So, I can say that this journey was one of my nightmare journeys.

one terrible but also funny day in ireland
I live in Dublin now. I have been here since August 2010. Probably a lot of people know that nowadays the weather is snowy and freezing around the Europe. So Ireland/Dublin too.
I'm student in Dublin. One day, I went to school in the morning as usual. After the school I went to bus stop and started to wait for my bus. If it is necessary I can say the weather was freezing! I think, I waited for one and half an hour. But the bus didn't come. Not only my number but also the others didn't come. I had to do something because of the weather was getting dark. I went to starbucks, the cafe had a wireless. I thought , I could connect to internet and I could find there last news about Ireland bus service. Do you know Murphy's law? If you have heard before you know these rules really love this kind of situations. So as you can guess, my mobile phone didn't connect to internet!I was getting crazy because I was really feeling cold. And I phoned to my boy friend that from Turkey/İstanbul. I told him that situation and asked that if he was looking for the bus service page on the internet. He checked and said "your bus number is cancelled"!!! when I took that information I said to myself "Ok you can manage.. No panic! Count to ten slowly!"
I asked a man who is working in starbucks "How can I go to..blabla." . He gave to me some advices, "you can go with Luas and the nearest luas station is bla bla bla..". Then I went to bus stop where I waited a few minutes ago. I told to the people who were waiting for bus that the buses were cancelled this evening. Some of them believed me and gave up from waiting. But the others continued to wait. I thought about that group "Okey guys it's your choice! I hope that your bus will come from space!"
And then I went to Luas station. Tram transport's name is Luas in Dublin. I felt little bit scared because I had never used Luas before. Of course it was not big deal! I was a big girl! Firstly I must to buy tram ticket but there was no ticket office or something like that. I saw that the ticket system was automatic. It's mean is; you choose the place where you will get off and then push enter after that the machine says "how much money do you have to pay for ticket", insert coins to machine and finally it gives the ticket. I could manage this if I knew the station name where I would get off!! And I want to remind that the weather still was freezing and snowing non-stop! I asked somebody that "do you know blabla area" but he just looked at me with empty eyes! And a boy who is homeless and drunk heard me and he said "I know that area I can do steps about ticket for you"! I just inserted coins to machine. It was the boy who did the other steps. I had ticket but I was not sure that it's correct or not! As I said the boy was drunk :(
Tram came and I got on. And now you can guess, I asked to somebody again that "where should I get off". Oh thanks God, he knew the place where is my house. He said "you will get off blabla station and you will see a pub at left and go ahead, your street is left or right I'm not sure.." It was so uncomfartable case for me but I had to manage. The tram arrived to the station which I must get off, he said "you must to get off here". I thanked to the man who is from Philippines. I got off the tram and waved to Filipino :) And that moment I was completely alone! It was snowing and even there was no one of footprint in snow. I have some good news at here of story; that point was cross(Murpy's law was still working:))!! What I mean; you could go north, south, west or east! What was a nice surprise! And all directions were similar to each other. Houses were almost same type and there was no hint that "where am I" ! I knocked a house's door that is I saw light in house because I had no choice. And thank God again a nice old woman opened the door.It was risky action because a person who opened the door could be dangerous or something like that. Luckily, the woman was really nice. I said "I'm so sorry. I bothered you but I think, I'm lost..blabla.." . She said "oh my dear don't worry you're right place.not lost. straight ahead, you'll see some shops and then turn to second right..." . I thanked to the nice old lady :) I waved with thankfully to her too. She watched me for a while. And called behind me "be careful honey floor is icy.."
After that moment I was completely relax because I knew where I am. I walked slowly on the snow and enjoyed the view. Finally I arrived to my home after 4 hours! After a shower I prepared a hot chocolate for myself and I watched the snow behind a window and at my warm home..

holiday places in turkey
If you go to Turkey one day, you should see the west part of Turkey. You will find there are the most beautiful places. You can see there what the meaning of "turquoise sea" is. Especially at Fethiye or around that area. Usually the weather is between 30°C and 40°C in the summer time. You must be careful about the sun. Because it can be very strong at 12:oopm. Also, you can visit some historical places. For example; kayaköy is one of the most famous places. There is some kinds of old stone houses and wine houses. If you want, you can buy wine which is made by the local village people. There is a lot of things around Fethiye and that region. But telling is not enough for explaining the beauty and many stories from the area's history. I think, the best way is, to have good information about the west of and the south-west of Turkey, searching on Google. You can visit some websites and you can see a lot of pictures. Maybe it would give better ideas than me :) Because I have to accept that I am not good a advertiser!
